About Bere Alston Trekkers
A Community Running Club
Bere Alston Trekkers (BATs) is a friendly community running club based in Bere Alston. We cater for all abilities from beginners to the ultra runner.

We have over 50 members of mixed ages, sizes and abilities and welcome beginners all year round.
​
We believe that anyone should be given an opportunity to run and our coaches are always on hand to help and advise other club members support each other.
​
We aim to offer members:

a range of routes covering the local area, both road and trail

weekly coached sessions to suit all abilities
all within a friendly, supportive, inclusive environment.

So if you are a seasoned runner looking for new routes and new running buddies, or thinking about giving running a go, returned after a long break or just want to see if you like running, get in touch and come along to one of our no obligation sessions.

Meetups
When do we run?
Weekly Sessions
Whether you're brand new to running, intermediate, or skilled—we have a place for you. Join us at one of our meetups and become a part of our friendly club!
​
Wednesday night is our club run night, offering a range of runs to suit all abilities. Most weeks we offer one coached session and one social run. During the summer months we also include an away run in addition to the village based runs.
​
British Summer Time: We meet in the village every Wed (except the last Wednesday of the month) at 19:30 at the Bere Alston Primary School car park.
British Winter Time: We meet in the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Bere Alston, every Wednesday at 19:30.
​
The last Wednesday of every month we meet at 19:30 in Bere Alston Trinity Hall. We run our standard Time Trial route, and after the run there will be a chance for club members to catch up with each other and share tea & cake.
​
Couch 25k
We will be running a new Couch 2 5k programme. Starting Wednesday 2nd April 2025. Meeting at the Bere Alston Primary School Car Park, 18:45.
